Maths: Patterns

This week in Maths we are learning about pattern building.

Understanding patterns is a basic skill needed in Maths to understand why things work together. Patterns help solve problems and can be found everywhere in designs, shapes and groups of numbers. 

We are beginning with simple patterns such as...

My Nightingales are using objects and toys to make patterns on their own...it is not so difficult! We could create many patterns in groups, here you can see some pictures.

This week my Nightingales enjoyed the story "The Library".

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear...

This week in the English course we learnt the song Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear as part of the ORT story "The Lost Teddy".
We really enjoyed singing and imitating the actions Teddy Bears does in the video...take a look at it and sing it at home!

I love Rock and Roll

Dear parents

As many of you might know Mother's Day is coming, so we are rehearsing for this special day
In Nightingales class we are going to perform the song "I love Rock and Roll". All the kids are very excited about their presentation; here I posted the song so you can practice at home.

This week the Nightingales enjoyed the story "The Lost Teddy".
Kipper went out with mum, but something unexpected happened...he forgot his teddy bear, do you remember where?

Picnic Time

Last Friday we had a Picnic Day. We all brought healthy food to eat during our lunch time and learnt about the importance of vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates for our physical health.

Nuestro Cuaderno Viajero

Desde este viernes empezaremos nuestro proyecto "El Cuaderno Viajero".

A traves de esta actividad desarrollaremos y reforzaremos las habilidades sociales y de expresión oral en nuestros niños. Cada viernes un niño del salón se llevará el cuaderno viajero junto con Brillito, nuestra mascota del salón, a casa por un fin de semana.
El cuaderno irá rotando durante todo el año dándole la oportunidad a todos de expresar sus vivencias y emociones con la mascota del salón.


 Mucha suerte Nightingales!

Our First Trip Together

Last Friday 5th we went to our first trip to El Remanso Club.

Here we spent a whole day full of funny and exciting activities. We played, sang and made competitions, after having our snacks we could enjoy a long recess in the playground.

Maths: Same Number

In Maths class we are learning 1to 1 correspondence. 

This time we used our bodys and personal objects to practice. Then we played in the smartboard how to make this correspondence using a grid.

Happy Easter

This week we learnt about Easter celebration.

In Spanish class we reinforced fine motor skills through the activity “Easter Bunnies”.

All nightingales made lovely little ears using cotton and coloured paper.

Then we had lots of fun looking for Easter eggs in the playground. It was so exciting!

Finally we decorated our Esaster eggs using different kinds of materials.
